Special Events Policies

Listed below are our policies/regulations for various special events. These include Field Trips, Birthday Parties and Class Parties.

Field Trips

Field trips are generally held at the end of each term.  However, it is not unusual for teachers to schedule additional trips that may coincide with lessons being taught.  When  parents/guardians receive a field trip note, they should:

• Sign and return the note with the specified amount to cover the trip’s cost
• Indicate whether or not they can assist with chaperoning.
• Pay attention to the dress code, which is usually the P.E. kit’s outfit, or the school’s uniform.
• Adhere to any other special instructions given.

No student is allowed to accompany his/her class on a field trip without a signed consent form.
 

 
Birthday Parties

Parents/guardians who wish to have their children’s class celebrate their birthday with them, may do so by making the necessary arrangements with the classroom teachers.  Birthday parties are usually held during the lunch hour, and should be kept simple.  Please be aware that students wishing to have a party for their teachers must receive permission from the Vice-Principal, prior to making arrangements.
 

 
Class Parties

Class parties are usually held the day before the final Chapel service of each term.  If teachers have their parties on campus, students may wear their own clothes. Parents will be advised in advance of any other criteria for class parties.
