Elementary School Division Admissions

Students wishing to enter Temple Christian Pre & Elementary School must meet the outlined conditions. Failure to comply with all requirements will result in the application not being processed.

 

 

Admissions Policy

 

Students are eligible for entrance into Temple Christian from the age of three, once they are fully potty trained and can communicate clearly. Students entering K3 & K4 are not required to sit an entrance exam.

 

All students seeking admission to grades K5 to Gr. 6 will be required to sit a grade level entrance exam. There is a $26.88 testing fee for all entrance exams. Students must be of average ability, as Temple Christian is not equipped to handle special students, slow learners, or emotionally disturbed children.

 

 

Selection Of Students

 

Students will be selected on the basis of the following:

  • The application form is filled out and signed by parents or guardians, who, by signing, consent to abide by the School’s Statement of Faith, Rules, Regulations, and Disciplinary Procedures;

  • Applications (for all students) must be accompanied by a copy of the child’s Birth Certificate (or the first 4 pages of the passport), a copy of the Immunization Record, a Transcript from his/her previous school, (Grades 1-6), and a completed Medical Form;

  • An assessment of the entrance examinations (given the third Saturday in March ); students must obtain a passing mark of 70%;

  • Once notified of acceptance (given soon after completion of the entrance examination), a total of $134.38 ($80.63 seat fee and $53.75 registration fee) will be required from those who wish to have their child/children attend Temple Christian.

Parents/Guardians wishing to enroll their children are urged to submit applications at least one year in advance, or by January of the year of the proposed enrollment.
