Christian Sturrup, a tenth grade student at Temple Christian High School, was selected to represent the Bahamas on the Track and Field team at the 2018 Flow CARIFTA Games recently held from March 30 through April 2, 2018, at the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium in Nassau. During the competition, Christian leaped to a bronze medal in the under17 boys high jump, exiting the competition at a height of 1.90m (6’ 2”). (The Nassau Guardian Online, April 6, 2018).

Temple Christian School is proud of the accomplishments of all of our athletes. However, we take special note of Christian’s achievement at the national level in track and field. It is our hope that he will continue to develop both academically and athletically as he looks forward to future competitions. Next year’s CARIFTA games will be held in the Cayman Islands. As our students embrace such opportunities to use their God-given talents on a national level, we salute Christian on this significant achievement, and we wish him further success both on and off the field in the future.
