NASSAU—The Temple Christian School took time out during its recent All School Convocation to honor Mrs. Sharmaine Porter and Mr. Perry Cunningham, principals of the elementary and high school respectively.
Mrs. Porter served as a preschool teacher for 4 years, and elementary school teacher for an additional 9 years, before serving as principal for the last 18 years. Mrs. Porter possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the College of St. Benedict, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Nova Southeastern University. A member of the Primary Principal’s Association, Mrs. Porter enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading, and travelling. Over the years, Mrs. Porter has overseen the establishment of high standards of excellence at Temple Christian Elementary School. She is honored for her hard work, dedication, and commitment to the development and growth of Temple Christian Elementary School.
Mr. Perry Cunningham was appointed principal of Temple Christian High School in December 2012. Mr. Cunningham possesses a Bachelor of History Education degree from Clearwater Christian College, and a Master of Educational Administration degree from Pensacola Christian College. A professionally lifetime certified principal through the Association of Christian Schools International, Mr. Cunningham has served in varying leadership capacities in both public and private institutions. He is honored for providing high standards of leadership to our high school community, and for fostering an environment in which students can achieve at high levels.
Temple Christian School is pleased to honor both of its principals. We are proud of their achievements, and look forward to the further development of their respective campuses under their leadership.
