Temple Christian Elementary School fifth grader Aianthe Moss emerged as the winner of the elementary school’s spelling bee competition. A part of the overall school spelling bee selection process for participation in the national spelling bee, the competition was open to fourth through sixth grade students, who were required to spell words from a “list of 450 words ranging in difficulty level for students in grades one through eight.” In the 39th round of the competition, Ianthe correctly spelled the word “debilitate” to win over fellow fifth grader Matthew Chandler (Grade 5 Mackey). For winning the competition, Moss, along with the high school spelling bee winner, will represent Temple Christian School in the national spelling bee competition.
