Former TCH Student Gives Back to Her Alma Mater 1/29/2013 Alumnus Gia Burrows Donates Computers to Temple Christian High

Temple Christian High School graduate Gia Burrows and her father, Mr. Gerard Burrows, Sr., gave administrators, faculty and students at this school a big reason to smile when they donated a quantity of Dell desktop computers to the school. The computers were presented on behalf of the Burrows family in a brief ceremony on Friday, January 25, 2013 in the school’s library.

Gia, a June 2008 graduate and former head girl of Temple Christian High School, said that the influential role of this school in the lives of both she and her brother lead to the decision to donate the computers. “This is the alma mater of me and my brother (2012 graduate Gerard Burrows, Jr.),” Gia explained in a brief interview after the donation ceremony. “Temple Christian was a pivotal milestone in our lives and so we wanted to give back. We appreciated our time here. It is our hope that they (the computers) will benefit the majority of students at TC.”

In addition to Gia and her father, the donation ceremony was attended by Temple Christian School Chief Administrator Dr. Celestine Williams, Temple Christian High School Principal Mr. Perry Cunningham, and the school’s Vice Principal Mrs. Rosemarie Cartwright.
