Mrs. Anne Smith - Secretary/Director

Mrs. Anne Smith earned her graduate degree in Human Resource Management and undergraduate degree in Professional Management from Nova Southeastern University. She also attainted her certifications in Human Resources Management from Columbia Southern University and Professional in Human Resource Management from Human Resources Institute (HRCI); she was also awarded the FLMI designation from the Life Office Management Association Inc. Mrs. Smith has attended numerous professional training and development workshops during her career both locally and overseas.

Beginning in 1976 Smith held a series of administrative posts with British American Insurance Company Ltd., eventually becoming the Manager of Customer Services with responsibility for the four district offices. From 1994, she assumed the position of Manager of Customer Services at Global Life where she was promoted to Operations Manager. In 2000 she joined the Colina Insurance team as Operations Manager subsequently rising to the position of Human Resources Manager. In 2005 she served as Supervisor of Emergency Room Admissions and the Coordinator of Emergency Room Admissions at Doctors Hospital.

She currently holds the position of Acting Director of Human Resources with the Public Hospitals Authority, with responsibility for operations, and is the Chairperson of the Performance Excellence Committee at Public Hospitals Authority. She is an active member of Evangelistic Temple church for the past thirty-four years and is currently a Director with Bahamas Co-operative League Insurance Brokerage Ltd and past Director of the Pilot Club of Nassau. She is also a part-time lecturer with Omega College.
